This past week, I have been focusing extensively on completing the Original Work before Winter Break.
When I say that I have gone through at least 50 templates, I mean it. And that's only for the idea of a pamphlet. I've also entertained the idea of doing a booklet, a ten page essay, and a research report.
As of today (5 days before the original work is due), I have chosen to stick with my original idea of doing a pamphlet aimed at patients and caretakers. However, since I want to give something easy to read, the pamphlet can not have too much information. As such, I will only do an overview of the different types of anesthesia (this will take up 3/6 panels), a special section on risk factors / pre-existing conditions (this will take up 1/6 panels), and a section that is to be finalized (perhaps a quick overview of pre care and post care, or a QR code to my citations). That leaves only the Title Page, which will be self explanatory.
Another aspect of my original work that I am struggling with is whether or not to use images, and what type of images to use (clipart, photos, etc.).
The idea of a QR code linked to a Google Doc or PDF of my annotated bibliography (which I need to create) also seems like a good idea, but I do not know if it is a realistic goal in terms of time and the amount of space on the pamphlet.
